Carington Park Heroes: Carysa

Ashtabula, Ohio - Carysa Cantrell has worked as an STNA at Carington Park since 2018. She is flexible in her work schedule, working any shift when needed. Carysa started in the health care field because when she was 15 years old, she had to care for her mother. Her mother relied on her for everyday care needs and she decided then that she wanted to be that "person" for other people's families too! The part I like most about my job is my residents and the way that I can brighten up there day with a simple laugh, a show of comfort or a daily need that I can assist with. Carysa is available to support both her residents and peers, often putting off her own needs to help others! She is a friend to all! Outside of work Carysa enjoys spending time with her family! Her favorite quote is, "the best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others". A great motto that is a huge reflection of Carysa's personality and Foundations Culture of Care!
