April Employee of the Month

Congratulations to Gina Hnath, our April Employee of the Month, who serves as the Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor as well as an STNA. Gina embodies the spirit of teamwork, always ready to lend a hand no matter the task. Her colleagues and residents alike commend her for her kindness, compassion, and dedication. Gina's coworkers describe her as a hard worker who goes above and beyond, offering both professional and personal support. She's known as "awesome sauce" and "cooler than ice," reflecting her positive impact on those around her.
With nearly six years at Carington Park and eight years in the healthcare industry, Gina's journey began in dietary before transitioning to housekeeping and earning her STNA license in 2012.
"I wanted to be able to bring joy to the people that may not have family that come visit or don't have family at all. I love being able to talk to the residents every day and help them in any way that I can. Sometimes they just need someone to listen to them vent, and other times it's just a hug." Her daily motivation comes from completing tasks and brightening residents' days with a friendly greeting.
Originally from Painesville, Ohio, Gina enjoys hobbies like gambling, puzzles, lawn care, and landscaping. Interestingly, her original career goal was to become a police officer. At home, Gina shares her life with a dog, three cats, and her fiancé. Her bucket list includes visiting Australia and Hawaii, along with winning the lottery.
In three words, Gina describes her career as rewarding, humbling, and hard work. One of her favorite memories involves spending one-on-one time with residents while working in transportation. Gina's commitment to her work and her residents makes her a valuable asset to our facility. Congratulations again to Gina on this well-deserved recognition!
