Meet our Director of Social Services

Please help us welcome Katelyn Sackett, LSW, to Carington Park as our Director of Social Services!



Growing up in Pierpont, Ohio, right here in Ashtabula County, Katelyn always knew she wanted to help others. That passion led her to Case Western Reserve University, where she earned her degree in social work in 2020. From working with children to supporting individuals struggling with mental health, she found her calling in being a voice for those who needed it most. When the opportunity to work at Carington Park arose, she knew she had found her place.

When asked about her experience at Carington, she shared, "I love working here. Being around the residents and staff makes my days so much better and brighter!" Her days are always filled with meaningful moments—helping residents adjust to life at the facility, supporting families through difficult decisions, and guiding staff through challenges. Whether assisting with POA paperwork, coordinating care plans, or simply lending a compassionate ear, Katelyn makes it her mission to ensure everyone feels heard and supported. To our residents, she is more than just a staff member—she is a listener, an advocate, and sometimes, a lifeline. 

At home, Katelyn has a family of three, plus their two dogs and two cats. Her evenings are often spent enjoying a backyard campfire, planning the next bowling or softball night, or looking forward to the next baseball or football game.
