April Employee of the Month

At Carington Park, we are proud to shine a spotlight on someone who has truly made a lasting impact at our facility. Please join us in congratulating Darlene Hulings, our April Employee of the Month!



Darlene has been a dedicated receptionist at Carington Park for nearly 25 years, and her passion for healthcare shines through in everything she does. Her career began right here, and from day one, she has brought heart, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to excellence to our front desk.

Colleagues describe her as hardworking, kind, helpful, and incredibly dedicated. She is always willing to lend a hand, and her friendly smile is the first thing families and visitors are greeted with when they walk through our doors. Darlene says her favorite part of the job is meeting families and greeting everyone who visits—a role she considers both an honor and a joy.

When asked what drives her each day, Darlene simply says, “To make a difference in someone’s life every day.” That motivation is evident in her work, her warm presence, and the way she treats every person with care and compassion.

Her career can be summed up in three words: ambitious, creative, and trustworthy—qualities that we see in her each and every day. One of her favorite memories at Carington Park was participating in a Veteran ceremony and the dedication of the flag, a testament to her appreciation for honoring others.

Outside of work, Darlene loves to crochet, read, and travel. She grew up on a farm in Northwestern Pennsylvania and now shares life with her husband, Paul. An adventurer at heart, Darlene has traveled to 43 states in the last 11 years by car and only has 7 more to go on her mission to see all 50! Her bucket list also includes visiting every province in Canada and exploring Australia.

Darlene, your warm spirit, loyalty, and dedication mean the world to all of us. Thank you for being such an incredible part of the Carington Park family. We are so lucky to have you!
