Congratulations to Mikala Engelmann, LPN, as Carington Park's July Employee of the Month! Mikala has been an invaluable member of our team for nearly two years, with a total of over seven years in healthcare, including five years as a nurse and two years as an STNA. Her journey in healthcare began as a childhood dream fueled by her nurturing spirit—a dedication that shines through her daily actions.
Mikala's commitment to our residents is unparalleled. She consistently goes above and beyond, embodying qualities of dependability, hard work, and compassion. Her coworkers and residents alike praise her as a hard worker with a great personality, always bringing happiness and care to those around her. Mikala's favorite part of her job is making a difference in someone's life, and her daily motivation is to bring smiles even during tough times.
Outside of work, Mikala enjoys hiking, rescuing kittens, and spending time with her husband, family, and their beloved senior dogs and cats. Her dream is to participate in nursing mission trips and eventually own a farm with rescue animals—a testament to her caring nature.
