Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Ashtabula County

On Sunday, September 18th, Carington Park helped sponsor the Ashtabula County Alzheimer's Association Walk at Lakeside High School. After months of planning, we were so happy that it was a huge success! We are so proud to have been a part of something so near and dear to our hearts. Foundations Health represented the blue flower during the ceremony, which stood for our Foundations buildings, including Carington Park, that care for Alzheimer's and dementia residents every day.



Through many fundraisers, our team, Foundations Fab 4, raised $930! A big thank you goes to our team, which consisted of Cassie Webester, Tiffany Hommes, Payton Hommes, Brandi Franklin, Christy Ross, Kelly Beatty, Tishia Pratt, Brenda Macnaughton, and Carissa Allen. The Ashtabula County Alzheimer's Association Walk missed this year's goal of $42,000 but was still able to raise more than $34,000, which is a huge accomplishment.

Alzheimer's has affected 6 million Americans of all ages, and we are passionate to help find a cure. The Walk to End Alzheimer’s, which is part of the Alzheimer’s Association, is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research in hopes to find a cure. Carington Park will be joining the fight again next year and hope to help raise even more funds to help end Alzheimer's Disease.
